In the next few days, we're expecting whatever Hurricane Sandy devolves into, so yesterday I took care of various Before activities. I stored all the extra yard furniture and decorations; I raked up 5 bags of leaves; I picked a big handful of zinnias. I tried to get a good picture of the sugar maples that I admire from my breakfast seat, but through the camera's eye, the trees look bare already. My eye must blur the various yellows and oranges from across the yard. To me, it's still luminous.
