We were gone for a few days, and at least one of those days had heavy rain with wind enough to topple the hammock onto the butterfly bush, toss the plastic Adirondack chairs onto a pepper plant, and throw the molded plastic green chairs off the patio. The peppers recovered readily, and the butterfly bush lost just a few limbs.
We're eating cherry tomatoes, but last night's rain pushed many orange ones still on the vine to the splitting point.
The blue hydrangeas look much better than last year, and the big white ones have begun blooming.
Hosta and blackberry lily blooming, too.
