Gardenias blooming again! Hydrangeas looking good.
Have I decided if this is an maple leafed viburnum? I think it might be. Lovely berries, foe weeks now. Below, white phlox, nearly hidden by a very big viburnum.
Yard overview, because I have an idea those white hydrangeas didn't bloom quite that extravagantly last year.
A close up of the bloom on the big-leafed hosta. At first, a stalk shot up with a sort of purple-white artichoke at the top, then the blooms start to open and the artichoke bit is higher on the stalk, and smaller.
I see from at July 17 picture last year we hadn't started eating our own yet -- we really are ahead this year!
