Thanks to a friend of a friend with the right equipment (his trade is ukulele making), I got a new piece of wood cut and angled just so that allowed me to fix my table with the splayed legs!

I haven't met him. At first a friend said, "I think I can do that" -- but then he took it to his friend's place because he had the best equipment. I'm happy to have the living room looking spiffy again.
