This week gave us this summer's first run of several days in the upper 90s. Watered by hand; if it doesn't rain today, I will set the sprinklers. Cucumber plants yellowing; snow peas, too (but they already had made it way longer than I would have expected). Tomatoes seem OK; have been picking a few grape tomatoes, one big one, and just today, the first cherries. Picked more squash.
Whacked back some of the fall clematis off the rose and yucca. Can't figure out why the alyssum didn't do well this year.
Day lilies about done blooming. Blackberry lilies on the left side look fantastic this year -- should thin some to other side this fall.
