So Much Pruning

Cut back the smoke bush yesterday. It's a little lopsided because of a bird nest I wanted to leave protected. The porcelain berry vine that's twined in there has gotten big: it's hard to distinguish its woody stem from shrub branches.

Weeds continue to go amok; I may do some spot mulching. The few snow peas that eventually grew bloomed in the last several days. If it stays cool, I could get a few. Yesterday morning was hot, humid, but a band of strong thunderstorms brought us milder weather for a few days.
