Rabbit-Proof? Weed-Proof?

I planted one lantana on Sunday, to see what the bunny would do to it. It looks tasted, but not devoured, so I put the rest in the ground. The zinnias are trying to keep going, despite being thoroughly nibbled. My coworker who's a top-notch gardener said she thinks rabbits avoid tough, waxy leaves like the camellia and liriope in that same plot.

That's the same place I've been testing using corn gluten as a weed deterrent. It seems to work well as promised: keeps newly-seeded weeds from taking. However, the ground ivy, English ivy, sedge, wire grass, crabgrass, etc. that spread by runner and root are just insanely enthusiastic after the mild winter and few days.
