June

The first of June means snow peas, day lilies, hydrangeas, and gardenias. (The red flowers in the bouquet below are a yarrow.) And this year, high heat. Since Monday, afternoon temperatures climbed into the 90s. I've returned to my hobby of trying to adjust the sprinklers. I think that, despite the way they are marked, many of the plants are on the same hose "circuits" as the lawn -- so we can't sacrifice the lawn and focus on plants.
