Fall Harvest

With the cooler weather, we're getting beans! I had trouble remembering to go out daily and so a handful at least as big as this one had gotten too big and tough.

We bought loppers and I took the tree out of the smoke bush, trimmed whatever it is in front of the living room window (west side). More to come, no doubt.

This morning I cleared the gutter on the east side of the addition (an impulse, really, as long as I had the ladder out for messing with that stuff that's supposed to scare critters out of attic). Given the junk that was in the front gutter by that fir tree and what there was in th addition gutter, I could see doing them any mild day in July or August, every year.
