• If you'll be making a big trip of it, start at Virginia's official tourism site to find other places to visit.


• And would you look at that: it's the State Fair! Traditionally, that means a week of rain. So pack an umbrella, then go look at the giant pumpkins, prize-winning sheep, horse events, and quilts.
